On March 18, 2026, Allen Feliz, Executive Director of One Nation Every Vote (OneV), joined the MassVOTE Advocacy Circle to speak about protecting and expanding participation in American democracy.
Allen’s message focused on a simple but urgent idea: democracy is strongest when more people are able and motivated to participate. Through OneV’s work, he aims to counter voter disengagement and build a broad, nonpartisan movement that defends the freedom to vote.
He also addressed the national conversation around the SAVE Act, a federal voting bill under consideration in Congress. While supporters describe it as an election integrity measure, Allen highlighted concerns from voting rights experts that it could create new barriers for millions of eligible voters.
In response, OneV has launched a national advocacy effort in partnership with organizations like MassVOTE, encouraging individuals to take small but meaningful actions, such as contacting their U.S. Senators, to help protect access to the ballot.
Allen closed with a clear call to action: lasting change comes from collective effort. When more people engage, democracy becomes more representative, more resilient, and more powerful.
