Every American vote matters. In our nation’s history many elections across all levels of government have been decided by a few votes (only 1 vote in some elections!). Regardless of the political parties of the winners, elections have had real consequences on the lives of Americans. In the 2002 Washington House of Representatives Primary for the 26th Legislative District, Ed Mitchell defeated Kevin Entze by one vote: 5,870–5,869.
