“Landslide Jim” Wins by One Vote

In the 1991 Virginia House of Delegates election for the 53rd District, David Sanders had won the seat by 17 votes out of nearly 13,000 cast on election night. However, a recount six weeks later, determined that Jim Scott was the winner by a single vote. He immediately became known as “Landslide Jim”. #VotingMatters #2018Midterms #Virginia
