Coin Toss Decides Close Election in Alaska

A 2006 Alaska House of Representatives primary was decided by a coin toss, using a special coin with a walrus on one side and the seal of Alaska on the other. The coin toss followed a recount, a state Supreme Court challenge and a dispute over five ballots. The winner of the coin toss went on to be Speaker of the Alaska House of Representatives. #VotingMatters #2018Midterms #Alaska
